CABANA CLUB PREMIERES IN HOLLYWOOD

Hollywood (July 15, 2005) – The year-round, indoor/outdoor lifestyle has long defined Southern California, and this summer is sure to satisfy clubgoers with the launch of the highly anticipated Cabana Club. Located in the heart of Hollywood (in the redesigned space of the former Sunset Room), the venue is the brainchild of White Lotus proprietors Chris Breed, Alan Hajjar and Eric James Virgets, managers of the adjacent Sterling Steakhouse.

Upon entry into Cabana Club guests pass through an outdoor corridor taking them directly to the breezy open-air patio – replete with lavish, towering palm trees lit in contrast to the evening sky. Amidst the outdoor experience, guests may enjoy a private, VIP treatment inside large fabric cabanas lining the patio area which, coupled with a sizable reflecting pool, 10-foot cascading waterfalls and curved walking bridges to the poolside island bar, create a Mediterranean feel accented by classic design. The oversized outdoor lounge space, strewn with comfortable couches, chairs and uniquely tiled tables provides an additional setting for gathering and is highlighted by whimsical artwork hung along the exterior walls.

A brown and gold template defines the Cabana Club interior, which guests may enter from two locations, both of which take them into the darker, more traditional atmosphere of the indoor dance floor and state-of-the-art stage – the latter of which offers guests front row access to live musical performances and fashion shows. Several private banquets, a beautifully chiseled mahogany bar and two-tiered seating area round out the indoor amenities.

While its wait staff emphasizes the Southern California lifestyle in their Chip & Pepper shorts, Cabana Club offers separate entertainment in each of its areas. During peak hours, two DJs spin tunes both inside and outside, while the inner performance stage also holds promise for live musical artists.

“With the Cabana Club, we looked to design a venue that really hasn’t existed in its fullest form until now,” explains partner Chris Breed. “People love the indoor/outdoor experience, and with this club we have taken it a step further.”

Cabana Club operates Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 pm- 2:00 am.
